The three-dimensional interwoven fiber structure of rock wool boards creates a large number of closed pores (porosity > 90%), with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.036-0.042 W/(m·K) at room temperature—far below the national standard requirement for building insulation materials (≤0.045 W/(m·K)).
